Hi & Welcome to my blog here you will find some lovely pictures of some lovely people.
Firstly a big thank you all who attended this workshop & those that donated. Back in April we raised £210.00 for Cancer Research Uk over two evenings in this beautiful city.
The feed back from you guys has been truly overwhelming stating that you had learned so much & that you now understand your camera a little better.
Just to give you a few tips on where to showcase your images i use http://500px.com and i find this very good as it not only shows your work to others, but it puts you amongst like minded photographers showcasing their work too. This is good on many levels as its a good place to store your work it also showcases your work & also its inspiring to mix amongst others.
Thank you again for your help and kind support and its been my pleasure to have held a workshop for such a great bunch of guys :)
Here are a couple of images from the second evening that i managed to shoot... Thanks for looking & please keep an eye out for my next workshop.
During April in aid of charity (Cancer Research UK) I'm running a photography workshop on location in the beautiful City of York on Wednesday 29th & Thursday 30th of April starting at 8pm until 10pm meeting in Saint George's car park in the city.
So I'd like to invite you along to attend this group shoot. The aim is to create stunning images in lowlight at a time of day you wouldn't normally venture out armed with your camera. All you need is your camera preferably DSLR and a tripod but if you haven't a tripod we can soon work round this for you.
This workshop is aimed at beginners wanting to move off auto mode and explore manual mode on their camera therefore stepping into a more creative style of imagery.
Donating is easy its online hosted by JustGiving the donation amount is up to you. The images produced will be shared via social media and again a donation can be made by the viewer if they so wish.
The image below of York has been taken in lowlight and makes a good example of what this workshop will help you achieve.
Please get in touch if you wish to attend this workshop, also if you want to bring along a friend or recommend the workshop to someone please do.

We as a team are going to be offering Location training days throughout 2015 at various locations to help people wanting to learn the skills needed to produce images just like these.
The sessions will run for a relaxed 4 hours and i will be on hand with help where ever you may need it.
Aimed at getting you familiar with Manual mode or semi auto on your camera and getting you off Auto settings leading to a more creative style to your photography.
All the images in this post have been captured using reflected natural light. This keeps thing remarkably simple yet gives very good results and also gives the photographer a much greater understanding of the learning process.
These sessions are limited to 4 candidates at a cost of £75 per 4 hours. So why not come along, bring your camera & plenty of time as sessions like these are so much fun and nearly always run over.
Mike and i met the month before we created these images in a hair salon while i was busy shooting the Getting Ready shots for a bride and her family.
He asked if i'd take his picture and then we got talking about how a local model would be a great idea for us both to gain some cool images. So three sessions later Mike hadn't modelled before but he soon got into it and here we have them and what a variety, from smoke in the studio to a local car-park then for a stunning backdrop Temple Manor.
Early sunday morning traveling north on the A1. Courtney my assistant and i find out how pretty the market town of Richmond really is. We are meeting Kerri & Dan by the riverside for their Pre wedding shoot and what a shoot it was. The sun is out the river is flowing there are waterfalls parts of the river bed on show beautiful riverside pathways and a fantastic young couple making plans to marry later this year. Here are a few of the moments caught on camera. Couldn't help sharing this one... Courtney pulling all the stops out to rearrange the natural surroundings. After all its all in the preparation hey Courtney.
